To ensure a safe and reliable experience for all users of the Imperial Shuttle platform, we have outlined the following eligibility criteria for riders (customers) and partners. These requirements help us maintain quality standards and protect all parties involved in the rental and booking process.

Rider Eligibility (For Booking a Vehicle)

To rent and drive a car through Imperial Shuttle, you must meet all the conditions below:

1. Minimum Age: You must be at least 21 years old.

2. Valid Driver’s License: Must hold a valid driver’s license recognised by the DVLA (Ghana or international).

3. National Identification:

   • Ghanaian users: Must provide a valid Ghana Card.

   • Non-Ghanaian users: Must provide a valid passport and international driver’s permit or DVLA-issued temporary license.

4. Proof of Identity & Location:

   • You may be asked to provide a recent utility bill, hotel reservation, or business contact as proof of residence or travel purpose.

5. Driving Record: Imperial Shuttle reserves the right to periodically review rider records or deny bookings based on past violations or suspicious activity.

6. Security Review Triggers: Your booking may be reviewed if:

   • Reported by another user (partner or rider)

   • Flagged by our automated risk system

Partner Eligibility (For Listing Vehicles or Hotels)

To become a verified rental partner or hotel/property host, you must meet the following criteria:

Identification & Business Documents

1. Valid National ID

   • All partners must upload a valid Ghana Card or Passport for identity verification.

2. Company Registration Documents (optional but recommended)

   • Business Certificate (e.g., Registrar General’s Department)

   • Business name or incorporation documents will speed up approval and support payouts.

Vehicle Eligibility (Car Rentals)

Vehicles listed on Imperial Shuttle must meet these minimum requirements:

1. Ownership & Authorization:

   • Vehicle must be owned by the partner or be under a signed agreement authorizing the partner to rent it out.

2. Condition & Maintenance:

   • Vehicle must be well-maintained and roadworthy.

   • Submission of recent service history or maintenance record may be requested.

3. Vehicle Age:

   • Minimum model year: 2014 or newer (exceptions may apply for low-mileage, well-maintained vehicles).

4. Insurance:

   • Vehicles must have valid comprehensive insurance, ideally covering rentals.

   • Partners may use their insurer or subscribe to Imperial Shuttle’s brokered coverage.

5. Vehicle Photos:

   • At least 8 clear photos required: 4 external (front, back, left, right), 4 internal (dashboard, seats, boot, interior view).

6. No Salvaged or Heavily Modified Cars:

   • Vehicles with salvage titles, illegal modifications, or performance-altered engines are not allowed.

7. Four-Wheeled Passenger Vehicles Only

   • No motorcycles or commercial trucks. SUVs, sedans, vans, and buses are accepted.

Hotel or Property Eligibility (Optional)

If you are a hotel or guesthouse owner looking to list on our platform:

1. Hotel Ownership/Management Verification:

   • Submit ownership documents or management authorisation

2. Valid Contact Information

   • Phone number, email, and name of the contact person

3. Room Listing Standards:

   • Photos of rooms, amenities, and exterior

   • Transparent pricing per night

   • Policies on check-in/out, cancellation, etc.

Ongoing Verification & Quality Checks

To maintain our standards, Imperial Shuttle may:

• Periodically request updated documents

• Pause or delist accounts with outdated, false, or incomplete information

• Conduct manual or automated listing reviews
